Another choosing-scenario in my inbox to wrap my head around, let's see...

For this one, I have these two in my head. Well, young 16 year old Sven without the guitar...yet, and older Richard, moments before the disaster:

Buying guitars in Czechoslovakia (for wholesome guitar learning reasons only):

scrapping together the last Ostmarks and off we go (who's car is this we're sitting in? Do I want to know this? Probably not) to Czechoslovakia

buying a guitar, already dreaming of the money we would get for it back in the GDR - whilst being nauseous with nervousness because boy, that's kind of an elaborate way to make some not so legal money

entering the scene: one (1) sweet girl who insists that Sven should play the guitar for her - the lad in question has absolutely no idea how to handle this instrument, but goes all in into the make-believe guitar playing act, thrilled with the attention he's getting -> conclusion: this guitar is being KEPT, keep your money-grabbing fingers of that damn thing, Sven is going places with it

Mission to obtain that sweet (illegal) coin: failed ❌

Mission to lay the groundwork for a proper rockstar life: success ✅

Going pyramid sightfalling seeing:

Everything was prepared so well. Proper sightseeing clothes (practical and still stylish), sunglasses within reach, sturdy hiking boots on.

But alas! Nothing will help today. The Gods of the olden Maya civilisation are not ready yet to welcome little Richard Kruspe from Schwerin on their holy ground and ban him forcefully from their pyramid - in 1999 and two decades later again 😤 -> conclusion: for the love of God, Richard, please stay away from pyramids in any shape or form

The emphasis really should've been on "seeing" the pyramids. From a safe distance. Marveling at them from the ground 🔎

So in all honestly, I'd either be present during the historical guitar-event or a "safe for ankles and any other joints"-pyramid tour with NO climbing involved 👀

(In all seriousness: Richard really had some bad luck regarding pyramids, which could've ended way worse than with an injured ankle, but still he hopefully hasn't sustain any permament injuries from it 🙏🏼)

now that trump has tiktok, twitter, facebook and insta in his pocket, get ready for a massive wave of internet censorship. one of trump's greatest weapons has always been misinformation; it's going to become harder and harder to spread facts and criticism going forward. posts that aren't made invisible will be magically ignored by the algorithm. dissidents will have their accounts deleted and voices erased.

so was anybody gonna talk about the new ecology paper proposing Ethiopian wolves as potential pollinators of native nectar-rich flower inflorescences positioned on stalks conveniently within wolf enjoying height AND that it includes photos of said wolves doing said unconfirmed alleged pollination (delightful) AND that it has observational evidence suggesting some wolves do like 1 flower and are done and other wolves just get really into it and spend upwards of an hour going between 20 and 30 flowers for up to 4-5 minutes per cluster just utterly going at it, lost in the nectar sauce? because I cannot BELIEVE I haven’t seen something on this webbed site about it yet. it just has everything this site enjoys

so the tiktok ban was literally just propaganda for the trump administration. like. we all agree with that right. this is just laughably transparent. the ban wasn't even 24 hours. not even a whole day. to quote my infinitely funnier mutual from Discord, "Misha Collins was bisexual longer than TikTok was banned"
